Egyptian expats raise their homeland's flag in Germany after casting their vote in presidential election- Egypt Today
Egypt has earned a top spot on the list of the world’s most welcoming countries for expatriates, outperforming major nations like the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, according to a recent survey.
The global survey, conducted by InterNations, a renowned expat network and guide, evaluated 53 countries based on feedback from foreign residents. Participants were asked to rate their host countries on various aspects such as social life, ease of settling in, comfort levels, cultural adaptability, and the friendliness of the local population.
Costa Rica ranked first as the most welcoming country, followed by Mexico, the Philippines, Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand, Panama, Colombia, Kenya, Greece, Spain, Oman, and Vietnam.
Egypt stood out by surpassing not only Western powerhouses like the US, UK, France, Germany, and Canada, but also other well-known expat destinations including Australia, India, Norway, Sweden, Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, and Hungary.
The survey’s results highlight Egypt’s growing appeal as a destination where expatriates feel welcomed, culturally integrated, and socially connected, reinforcing the country’s reputation for hospitality and vibrant community life.
