CAIRO – 1 March 2025: Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and his Palestinian counterpart Mohamed Mustafa discussed the features of the post-war recovery and realy reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip, which will be presented at the Arab Summit due to conene on March 4, in Cairo.

 

Mabdouly met with Mustafa at the Egyptian Cabinet headquarters in Cairo. The meeting was attended Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, and Palestinian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wael Zaqout, in the presence of Ambassador Diab Al-Louh, Ambassador of Palestine to Egypt.

 

Mohamed El-Homsany, the official spokesman for the Egyptian Cabinet, stated that the meeting discussed coordination efforts between the Egyptian and Palestinian sides to follow up on the completion of the drafting of the reconstruction plan, in preparation for presenting it to the emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held on March 4, in addition to coordination with international humanitarian institutions to contribute to early recovery and reconstruction efforts.

 

The Egyptian Prime Minister affirmed Egypt's steadfast support for the Palestinians and their legitimate rights, especially the right to self-determination and the independence of the Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

 

Madbouly noted that the Egyptian government has prepared an integrated plan for early recovery and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, while keeping Palestinian citizens in the Strip during the reconstruction process.

 

He also stressed that Egypt is exerting teremndous effort to support the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people, whether through continuing efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement in all its stages, or reconstruction in the Gaza Strip.

 

For his part, the Prime Minister of Palestine praised the Egyptian efforts to support the Palestinian people, their legitimate rights, and efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip, as well as the efforts made by all Egyptian state institutions.
