CAIRO – 24 February 2025: A number of Egyptian Parliament representatives stressed that recent Egyptian diplomatic movements and foreign tours of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, ‘blocked the path’ of the forced displacement plan, and established a unified international position that supports the unity of the Palestinian territories and Egyptian national security.

In several statements, the MPs confirmed that the emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held on March 4 in Cairo will be a 'turning point' in unifying the Arab position to confront challenges, and an 'important message' to the international community with a ‘unanimous Arab rejection’ of the displacement of Palestinians and its direct impact on liquidating the cause.

Representative al-Safi Abdel Aal, a member of the House of Representatives, stressed the importance of the ‘Palestinian vision’ to be presented during the upcoming Arab summit in Cairo, which focuses on the reconstruction of Gaza and confronting the forced displacement plans, stressing that it represents a clear plan for the next stage in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Abdel Aal pointed out that this vision is based on the firm Egyptian position towards the Palestinian cause, explaining that the Gaza reconstruction file will be one of the main topics for discussion and approval during the upcoming summit, which comes at a critical time for the Palestinian cause.

The member of the House of Representatives affirmed his full support for the Palestinian political leadership in its efforts to rebuild the sector, through legal and diplomatic paths.

He also stressed the importance of developing a comprehensive reconstruction plan, prepared in cooperation with Egypt and international organizations, such as the World Bank, the United Nations, and the European Union, so that this plan is presented to the Arab Summit for approval and activation of its implementation mechanisms.

Ishaq explained in press statements that the emergency Arab summit will be a turning point in dealing with the Palestinian issue, as Egypt will reveal a strategic vision for the reconstruction of Gaza, which enjoys broad Arab support, stressing that Egypt does not limit itself to rejecting the plans targeting the Palestinians, but rather works to propose real alternatives that preserve their rights and ensure the stability of the region.

She pointed out that the fraternal summit held by President El-Sisi in Saudi Arabia after his visit to Spain, with the participation of Gulf leaders and the King of Jordan, came to consolidate a unified Arab position in the face of current challenges, stressing that Egypt has moved effectively to protect Arab national security.

MP Mohamed El-Badry, member of the Senate Health Committee, said that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's recent visit to Spain represents a new diplomatic success that reflects Egypt's regional and international weight, noting that signing the strategic partnership declaration between the two countries enhances joint cooperation in various fields, especially in light of the current challenges facing the region.

El-Badry explained that the meetings held by President Sisi in Madrid, especially with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, carried strong and decisive messages about the constants of the Egyptian position supporting the rights of the Palestinians and rejecting any attempts to displace them from their lands, which proves once again that Egypt is leading international efforts to protect the Palestinian cause from any attempts to circumvent it.

He added that the Egyptian moves led by President Sisi were able to thwart the plan for the forced displacement of the Palestinians, which crystallized in a fraternal summit in Saudi Arabia with the leaders of the Gulf and Jordan, stressing that Egypt will not allow any infringement on Arab national security, and will remain the first line of defense against any threats.

He also pointed out in this regard that the Spanish position in supporting the rights of the Palestinians, which is considered to be a new victory for the Egyptian diplomatic efforts that seek to intensify international support for the Palestinian cause.
