The president gave an overview of the efforts deployed by Egypt to execute the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the hostage-prisoner swap, as well as deliver humanitarian aid. On his side, the Jordanian crown prince valued the Egyptian role in stabilizing the ceasefire, ending the bloodshed, and restoring pacification.

The two sides reiterated the necessity of an immediate start of Gaza reconstruction without Palestinians' displacement. In the same context, the crown prince underscored Jordan's support to the emergency Arab summit to be hosted by Egypt later this month, noting the importance that it results in an Arab consensus on the matter.

The Egyptian president and the Jordanian crown prince also warned about the current Israeli violence in the West Bank, and attacks against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. They equally noted that the only guarantee to accomplish permanent peace and stability in the Middle East is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 having as capital Eastern Jerusalem.

The meeting equally addressed the status quo of Syria, expressing eagerness for the country's unity, stability and territorial integrity.
