CAIRO - 4 February 2025: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone conversation with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, reaffirming the strong and deep-rooted relations between the two nations. Both leaders emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in various fields, particularly in economic and investment sectors.
Presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shinawy stated that the discussion focused on regional developments, particularly efforts to ensure the full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The conversation covered key aspects, including the exchange of hostages and detainees and the facilitation of humanitarian aid to alleviate the severe crisis in Gaza.
President El-Sisi highlighted the importance of rebuilding Gaza and stressed the need for a unified Arab position to support lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
King Hamad praised Egypt’s pivotal role in brokering the ceasefire and emphasized the necessity of its full implementation. He also underscored the urgent need for a political process that leads to a comprehensive and lasting peace agreement in the region.
Both leaders reviewed the latest developments in Syria, Lebanon, Libya, and Sudan, stressing the importance of working toward stability in these countries and avoiding further conflicts.
