Kuwaiti PM stresses his country's keenness to strengthen economic relations with Egypt

CAIRO - 3 February 2025: His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, received Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib, and reviewed ways to enhance bilateral relations in various fields of common interest.

 

The two sides also discussed ways to develop trade, industrial and investment cooperation, in the interest of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

 

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, affirmed his country's appreciation for the sisterly State of Egypt, and its keenness to enhance joint economic relations between the two countries to distinguished levels that reflect the historical bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

Kuwaiti PM further praised the positive results of the Joint Trade Committee and its tangible role in developing frameworks for joint economic cooperation between the two countries in various fields and at all levels.

 

For his part, Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and his invitation to visit the Arab Republic of Egypt, extending thanks and appreciation to the sisterly State of Kuwait, its leadership and people, for hosting the activities of the Joint Trade Committee.

 

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel, Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ambassador Osama Shaltout, Egyptian Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Hossam Heiba, Chairman of the Investment and Free Zones Authority, and Minister Plenipotentiary of Trade Essam Bregaa.
