The Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for the vital medical and humanitarian role played by Ahl Masr Hospital in saving the lives of burn victims and alleviating their suffering.
He highlighted the hospital's high level of efficiency in providing essential medical care, particularly given the serious health challenge burns represent.
With rising infection rates, especially among children, burns have become an increasing concern, he said.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that burn treatment goes beyond physical recovery, requiring comprehensive psychological support and rehabilitation throughout the healing process.

She continued that the hospital is the first of its kind in the Middle East and Africa, fully dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of burn victims, and operates on a not-for-profit basis. It provides specialized therapeutic care, including comprehensive medical treatment, pre- and post-burn care, as well as treatment for associated shock, El-Sewedy continued.
She emphasized the hospital’s commitment to advancing burn care through scientific research aimed at improving treatment outcomes, developing innovative therapies, and contributing to the global body of knowledge on burn injuries and recovery methods.
Ahl Masr Hospital is built on an area of approximately 45,000 square meters and features 201 beds. The hospital is equipped with 14 outpatient clinics, 25 intensive care units for children, 20 intensive care units for adults, and 37 patient accommodation rooms. It also includes 21 beds in the emergency department, 7 operating rooms, and 79 high-intensity care units.

He added that it was established in 2019, noting that the hospital is considered a multi-specialty medical city and provides its services 100% free of charge to the most needy groups, mainly children, in addition to providing medical services to adults from all governorates.
The hospital includes 600 beds, 140 intensive care units, 48 outpatient clinics, 10 operating rooms, and 4 cardiac catheterization units, Abbas said, adding that the hospital is not operating at full capacity at the present time due to limited resources.
