President Sisi during his visit to Denmark
CAIRO - 7 December 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived Saturday at the Danish Parliament at Christiansborg Palace, where he met with the Speaker of the Danish Parliament, Søren Gade on the sidelines of Sisi's visit to Denmark.
President Sisi expressed his happiness to visit the Danish Parliament and meet the Speaker of Parliament.
During the meeting, President Sisi said that relations between Egypt and Denmark are strong and deep, and have witnessed remarkable development in recent years in various fields, adding: "There is a mutual desire between Egypt and Denmark to strengthen these ties and build bridges of communication between our peoples."
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian and Danish parliaments "will play a pivotal role in supporting these efforts and achieving the common goals of relations between the two countries."
Sisi further added: "Egypt is a country that believes in democracy and the importance of dialogue, understanding and joint coordination, and has an extensive history and deep-rooted parliamentary traditions."
"We look forward to continuing to enhance cooperation with Denmark at the parliamentary level through exchanging visits, experiences, expertise and lessons learned," President Sisi said.
On Friday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in the official dinner hosted by King Frederik X of Denmark in honor of the President.
President El-Sisi expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude for the high-level reception and distinguished hospitality, since the moment he arrived in the friendly Kingdom of Denmark, on the first visit of an Egyptian President to this ancient country.
President El-Sisi added: "I also take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, for continued health and safety.. and I wish you all a Merry Christmas.. and to the world as a whole, a Happy New Year."
