CAIRO – 27 August 2024: Two Kuwaiti newspapers, published this Tuesday , have highlighted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's warning that the ongoing escalation could place the region at risk of a potential regional war, which could have serious consequences for all the peoples of the area.
In its coverage, Al-Anba newspaper emphasized President Sisi's caution regarding the current situation during a phone call with his Bulgarian counterpart, Rumen Radev, yesterday.
The discussion included the outstanding trajectory of bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Bulgaria, with both presidents expressing their commitment to leveraging the momentum in their relations over recent years.
They aim to expand cooperation in various sectors, particularly in the economy, trade, and energy, to benefit both nations and their citizens.
Al-Rai, another Kuwaiti newspaper, reported under the headline "Sisi: Escalation Puts Region at Risk of Potential War Expansion" that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev discussed bilateral cooperation and the situation in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza.
The newspaper further noted that President Sisi reviewed Egypt's ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire and deliver humanitarian aid, stressing the urgent need to end the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza immediately.
