Israeli forces detain 25 Palestinians in West Bank

GAZA CITY - 24 July 2017: Israeli forces detained 25 Palestinians overnight across the West Bank as tensions still high in the occupied Al Quds and the West Bank.

On Sunday morning, the Shin Bet announced that it made 25 arrests of Palestinians, including several higher-up officials overnight in the West Bank, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The arrests of Hamas members are amid an ongoing effort to ensure that tensions do not escalate into more violence, the Shin Bet said.

The crackdown came as a rocket launched from the northern Gaza hit southern Israel.
