CAIRO – 23 July 2017: Eight Hasm terrorists were killed in fire exchange with Police in Fayoum governorate. Five others were arrested in Giza and Sharqia governorates, the Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday.

Police forces found rifles, birdshots, ammunitions, fuel, petrochemical substances, and two motorcycles in their hiding places equipped with all accommodation facilities.
Documents containing plans for intended future attacks were also found in two of their hiding places.

Two leaders affiliated to the Hasm terrorist group, convicted of assassinating Nasr City Criminal Court President Counselor Ahmed Abo Al Fotouh, were killed during a security operation on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Interior.

“The terrorists were involved in other terrorist plans which targeted many places in the past,” a statement by the Interior Ministry read.
In Arabic, the word “hasm” means decisiveness. Hasm has been associated with nearly every terrorist attack in Egypt during the last year and responsible for nearly three major attacks.

Hasm group is supposedly linked to the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
