CAIRO, July 20 (MENA) - Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali returned home Thursday after participating in the United Nations Forum on Sustainable Development that was held in New York.

Wali took part in the forum as the head of the executive office of the Council of Arab Social Affairs Ministers.

While in New York, the minister held a meeting with Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations for the Arab Region Murad Wahba and head of the United Nations Development Program's Regional Bureau for Arab States Adel Abdel Latif.

She discussed ways to boost technical support for the council, especially as regards following up and evaluating projects and drafting reports on the progress achieved so far to put into effect the goals of sustainable development.

In addition, she also discussed training Arab cadres to follow up and analyze poverty statistics.
