CAIRO – 18 July 2017: The Ministry of Health confiscated 176, 670 expired juice bottles this month from a factory in the industrial zone of 6th of October City.

The head of the Food Control Department at the ministry, Maysa Hamza, told the press on Monday that the production and expiry dates on the packages are incorrect. Hamza affirmed that the incident was reported to the police and will be referred to the Public prosecution later.

The ministry’s spokesperson Khaled Megahed also announced that 40 tons of olive oil and 112 kilograms of olives were confiscated in Marsa Matrouh as they were not suitable for human consumption, adding that legal action has been taken.
