CAIRO – 4 May 2023:  Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad Thursday received Jordanian Princess Alia bint al Hussein, who is currently on a four-day visit to Faiyum City, southwest Cairo for talks on promising environmental investments.

Princess Hussein's visit to Egypt crowns the recent successful visit of the environment minister and the governor of Faiyum to Jordan, at the invitation of the Jordanian princess to lay the foundation stone of cooperation between Egypt and Jordan in the domain of nature preservation as well probing potential investment opportunities in nature reserves, especially in Faiyum.

During her visit, the Jordanian princess will take part in the signing ceremony of a quadripartite-protocol between the Ministry of Environment, Faiyum Governorate, Princess Alia Foundation and FOUR PAWS Animal Welfare Foundation.

The project is the first of its kind, as regards furthering the Egyptian-Jordanian cooperation in the green investment and environment protection, the minister said.

She added that the protocol falls within the framework of efforts meant to promote promising investment opportunities in Faiyum, alongside boosting fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Jordan in the field of nature preservation and investment in natural protectorates.
