CAIRO - 18 July 2017: A parliamentarian announced that he will draft a bill regarding honoring the martyrs of the armed forces and police during the third legislative session, which is due to start in October.

The bill will stipulate a special treatment including the continuation of promotion and salary, as if they are still alive, Parliamentarian Al-Sayed Sherif said on Wednesday.

The member said that the law, if issued will be the least appreciation and honor by the State for those martyrs and their families who have sacrificed their lives to defend of their homeland's security and stability, and will also be an important message to the terrorist groups that no matter what they do, they will never achieve their objectives.

Throughout the past three years, a large number of security personnel were killed in terrorist attacks that were mainly targeting them.
