CAIRO - 17 April 2023: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned citizens not to be deceived by the rise in temperatures Monday and Tuesday, as it is expected to be followed by a gradual decrease in temperatures.
 
The Meteorological Authority indicated that the temperature on Monday and Tuesday is expected to exceed 30 degrees Celsius, followed by a gradual decrease in temperatures, bringing the maximum temperature to 27 degrees Celsius as of Thursday, and the minimum temperature not exceeding 15 degrees Celsius, i.e. a difference of 12 degrees Celsius.
 
The Meteorological Authority continued: It is preferable not to wear light clothes, especially for children, during the night periods, to prevent catching flu, but instead, citizens can reduce their clothes to weaer autumn clothes, and keep a light jacket while going out at night.
 
Monday witnesses a continuous rise in temperatures in all parts, so that cold weather prevails in the morning, hot during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northwestern coasts, South Sinai and the south of the country, hot in the northeastern coasts, warm in the northwest coasts, cold inclined. on most parts.
 
As for the temperatures on Monday:
 
Cairo: highs of 33 degrees and lows of 19 degrees
 
Alexandria: highs of 31 and lows of 16 degrees
 
Matrouh: highs of 28 degrees and lows of 14 degrees
 
Sohag: highs of 34 degrees and lows of 18 degrees
 
Qena: highs of 35 degrees and lows of 18 degrees
 
Aswan: highs of 36 degrees and lows of 21 degrees.
