Egypt sees drop in temperature, cold wave until Sunday

CAIRO - 8 February 2023: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) revealed that the latest satellite images indicate a cloud cover of rainy clouds over Greater Cairo and the northern parts of the country, while the temperature in Greater Cairo is 11 degrees Celsius.
 
Egypt witnessed a drop in temperatures in all parts of the country on Wednesday, so that cold weather prevails in the early morning in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, and moderate in southern Sinai and southern Upper Egypt, while at night, weather is cold in the north of the country to Greater Cairo, and very cold in the south of the country.
 
The Meteorological Authority also expects that today will witness weak chances of light rain in separate areas and intermittent periods in Greater Cairo.
 
As for the temperatures, today, Wednesday: Cairo is expected to see highs of 16 degrees, lows of 10 degrees. Cairo is expected to record 17 degrees during the coming days until Sunday. 
 
And the winter season this year, according to astronomical calculations, will be 88 days, 23 hours and 38 minutes long, and will end on Monday, March 20, 2023 CE, corresponding to Shaban 28, 1444 AH, at 23:26.
