Egypt witnesses gradual rise in temperature as severe cold relents

CAIRO - 18 January 2023: Egypt to witness a gradual rise in temperatures until the end of the week, after it has experienced severe cold and rains over the past period. 
 
Depression and air masses that affected Egypt during the last period began to relent, accoring to forecast experts. 
 
Mahmoud Al-Qayati, a member of the Media Center of the General Authority of Meteorology, said that the southern Upper Egypt will see the warmest weather. He explained that temperature degrees will increase by 4 degrees Celsius.
 
Mahmoud Al-Qayati warned the citizens not to wear light clothes because of the high temperature, which will continue until the end of the week and the beginning of next week, and is accompanied by thick water clouds, starting next Thursday in the cities of the Canal and northern Upper Egypt.
 
It is noteworthy that Mahmoud Al-Qayati, a member of the media center of the General Authority of Meteorology, revealed the details of the weather until the end of the week, explaining that the country is affected by an extension of an air elevation on the surface of the earth with an air elevation in the upper layers of the atmosphere, which leads to a state of stability in weather conditions and an increase in periods of brightness of rays. The sun and thus a slight and gradual rise in temperature.
 
As for temperatures on Wednesday: Cairo will have highs of 21 degrees, lows of 11 degrees, Alexandria highs of 21 and lows of 11, Matrouh highs of 19 and lows of 10, Sohag will have highs of 23 and lows of 06, Qena will highs of 23 and lows of 07, and Aswan will highs of 24 degrees. And the lowest is 09 degrees.
