Russian amb. welcomes reviving activities of Russian-Egyptian friendship society

CAIRO – 9 November 2022: Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko welcomed reviving the activities of the Russian-Egyptian friendship society, stressing the depth of bilateral ties.

In a statement issued by the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo on Wednesday, the diplomat said he is looking forward that the society will play a key role in promoting the link between the two countries in various domains.

He congratulated Ibrahim Kamel for being unanimously elected as head of the society.

For his part, Marat Gatin, the director of the Russian Cultural Centers, said there is mutual desire in activating cooperation between the two sides via the civil society side.
