CAIRO – 8 November 2022: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry, who is COP 27 president, launched Tuesday - at a session titled "Fulfilling Pledges" - Sharm El Sheikh Agenda for Climate Adaptation.

The event was attended by Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Simon Stiell; Climate Champion of COP 27 Mahmoud Mohieldin; and, Climate Champion of COP 26 Nigel Topping.

The agenda targets to empower four billion individuals worldwide to withstand the repercussions of climate change by 2030. The document is considered the first global plan of its kind, as it comprises all stakeholders, whether governmental or non-governmental bodies.
