Egypt’s PM follows up on progress in New Capital's projects

CAIRO – 4 October 2022: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting on Tuesday to follow up on progress in the implementation of a number of projects in the New Administrative Capital, including government buildings, construction work, digitization of government documents, as well as utilities and infrastructure networks.

Minister of Communication and Information Technology Amr Talaat, the assistant of the director of the Armed Forces' Signal Department and representatives of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority (AFEA) attended the meeting, along with a host of senior officials from the state authorities concerned.

The premier underlined the need to accomplish projects perfectly and on schedule, noting that the meeting is part of the periodic meetings held under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to speed up the implementation of all national projects.

Reviewing a report on the pace if work of some projects, First Assistant to the Prime Minister Randa Al Minshawi said as many as 1,026 meeting rooms were handed over after they had been equipped with necessary supplies.

She added that the testing and operation of water, irrigation, sewage and electricity networks have been completed
