CAIRO - JEDDAH - 15 July 2017: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli decision to close Al Aqsa Mosque and ban prayers inside.

The decision, the first of its kind since 1969, is a crime and flagrant aggression against holy places as well as against the Palestinians' right and freedom to practice their religious rites, the Jeddah-based organization said in a Saturday statement.

Meanwhile, OIC Secretary General Youssef bin Ahmed al-Othaimeen urged the international community to take an urgent action in order to stop Israel's repeated aggression against Muslim and Christian holy places in Al Quds.
