CAIRO – 24 June 2022: Qatari Ambassador in Cairo Salem Mubarak Al Shafi said Friday that the visit paid by Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Egypt would push forward the course of relations between the two countries in all fields.

The visit comes as a culmination of efforts, contacts and exchange of visits between senior officials in the two countries over the past months, Shafi said.

The current global situation poses many challenges on governments and peoples, which require consultation between the leaders of Egypt and Qatar to exchange visions and views on the optimal handling of these issues, he added.

Shafi also hailed the brotherly and historical relations linking Qatar and Egypt.

Qatar is a major investor in Egypt in all sectors, and its investments will continue, he added

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received, Friday Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who pays Egypt a two-day official visit, at the Cairo International Airport.

Official spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Bassam Radi said that the visit is will include holding bilateral talks between the two leaders to address the relations between the two brotherly countries.

He added that the two leaders will discuss ways to enhance ties in various fields, in addition to discussing developments in regional and international political issues of common interest.
