CAIRO - 4 June 2022: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli praised efforts exerted by the cabinet's higher medical committee to offer necessary medical care to citizens in May on Saturday.

The premier was following up on the committee's efforts through a report, submitted by the committee's chairman Hossam el Masry.

He stressed the need for continuing efforts to alleviate the suffering of patients and their families and provide them with all possible support in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Madbouli also praised high-level cooperation among health bodies concerned to respond to complaints.

"We are all working on achieving one goal, which is serving the Egyptian citizen," Madbouli noted.

Masry, for his part, said 489 cases were handled in May, including 119 surgeries.

He added that the committee took necessary measures for 90 cases of oncology and gamma knife, and provided medications for 29 cases.
