Egypt’s ambassador to South Korea presents credentials to President Moon Jae-in

CAIRO - 29 April 2022: Egypt’s Ambassador to South Korea Khaled Abdel Rahman presented his credentials to South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who wished him success in his mission in South Korea.
 
The ambassador conveyed President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s greetings to the Korean President, praising the boom in bilateral relations during the last period and the high-level visits between the two countries.
 
The ambassador highlighted Egypt’s ambitious towards development and the continuation of economic reform policies which are considered an opportunity for Korean companies to benefit from the size of the Egyptian market and the possibilities of exporting to other markets.
 
Ambassador Abdel Rahman also expressed Egypt's keenness to continue cooperation to strengthen the distinguished relations between the two countries in various fields.
 
Egypt and South Korea over the recent few years have held several meetings, including exchange of visits by presidents, which can promise a major qualitative leap in bilateral relations between the two countries.
 
In January 2022, Egypt welcomed President Moon Jae-in of South Korea. It the first visit by a South Korean president in 16 years and comes in light of the partnership that has signed between Cairo and Seoul in 2016.

Sisi made an official visit to Seoul in 2016 as part of an Asian tour that also included Japan and Kazakhstan, where he met with then-South Korean President Park Geun-hye.
