In a statement, Shaker hailed the fruitful and constructive cooperation between the Electricity and New and Renewable Energy Ministry and IRENA, affirming the need to bolster cooperation with the agency in various renewable energy domains.

Shaker pointed out that Egypt cooperates with global companies to start talks and studies to implement experimental projects to produce green hydrogen. He asserted that Egypt is keen to be a gateway for clean energy in Africa.

Meantime, Badr praised the distinguished relations between IRENA and Egypt, expressing readiness for offering support to Egypt to prepare well for the UN COP27.

He also voiced his interest in cooperating with the Egyptian ministry in the green hydrogen domain as it is a promising source of clean energy.
