Egypt’s Sisi heads for China to attend Opening Ceremony of Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022

CAIRO- 3 February 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi headed on Thursday to China to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 due on Friday, said the Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady in a statement.

 

President Sisi’s participation came at Chinese President Xi Jinping’s invitation, in light of the close and strategic relations between Egypt and China, Rady added.

 

It is scheduled that President Sisi would hold visit a mini-summit with President Xi Jinping to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations that have witnessed a qualitative leap in recent years at all levels, Rady said.

 

Both leaders would also discuss a number of regional and international files of common interest, Rady continued.
