CAIRO – 16 January 2022:  EgyptAir operated Sunday the first Cairo-Kharga flight after years of suspension within the framework of encouraging investment and tourism in the New Valley governorate.

The flight – named MS198 - will take place once a week every Sunday through an Airbus A220-300 jet.

In a similar context, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Amr Abul Enien said last week that the national carrier has a plan to increase its air fleet in the coming period to meet the rise of demand on air shipping.

Abul Enien said that EgyptAir has 70 mega passenger planes which could carry amounts of cargoes along with three cargo planes with each having a capacity of 60 tons.
