Sisi, Serbian parliament speaker discuss health, energy as potential fields of cooperation

CAIRO – 12 December 2021: Potentials of Egyptian-Serbian cooperation in health, energy, and tourism were discussed in a meeting between President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the speakers of the Serbian and Egyptian parliaments on Sunday.

Serbian parliamentary speaker Ivica Dačić praised economic developments in Egypt and Serbia’s keenness on reinforcing ties. Sisi also said Egypt looks forward to enhancing cooperation at all levels as the country embarks on mega projects.

The meeting also tackled military cooperation and fighting terrorism, extremist ideology, and illegal immigration, as well as parliamentary cooperation. 

They also touched on the Palestinian issue, stability in the region, and coordinating stances at international for a in light of Serbia’s balanced positions in support of Arab causes.
