Egypt sends medical aid to South Sudan per Sisi’s instructions

CAIRO – 7 December 2021: Within the framework of Egypt’s continuous support to friendly and brotherly countries in various adversities and crises, and in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, a military jet took off from East Cairo Air Base heading to Juba Airport in South Sudan loaded with tons of medical and pharmaceutical aid.

 

The aid was submitted by the Ministry of Health and Population to the Republic of South Sudan to contribute to alleviating the burdens on the brothers in South Sudan.

 

For their part, the officials of the State of South Sudan expressed their full appreciation for the efforts made by the Egyptian government and people to support their brothers from the peoples of the continent, stressing that these humanitarian stands represent a great place in the conscience, which contributes to deepening the historical relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

This assistance comes as an affirmation of Egypt's leading role towards the countries of the African continent in various circumstances and to provide them with full support and solidarity to overcome all the crises facing the peoples of the continent.
