CAIRO- 2 December 2021: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received, on Wednesday, a phone call from Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides, discussing close relations between the two countries.

 

In a statement, Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Ambassador Ahmed Hafez stated that the two Ministers discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and follow-up on the results of the Higher Governmental Committee between the two countries at the Presidential level, which was held for the first time in Cairo on September 4, 2021.

 

“In this regard, the Cypriot Minister invited Minister Shoukry to visit Cyprus during the coming period،” Hafez said.

 

He added that the two Ministers discussed the latest developments regarding a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
