CAIRO - 18 September 2021:  The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population received a shipment of 20 refrigerators to store Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccines, which will be received in the coming period, said the World Health Organization (WHO) Egypt in a statement on Friday.
 
The shipment was delivered by UNICEF  through the COVAX facility, the statement added, noting that the delivered refrigerators are the first shipment out of a total of 63 refrigerators that the ministry will receive in the coming period.

The Ministry will receive the first shipment of 260,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine in the coming new period.
 
Egypt recorded on Friday 588 coronavirus infections, and 14 deaths as well as 657 recoveries at isolation hospitals. 
 
As such, the total figures became 295,639 infections, 16,935 deaths, and 249,082 recoveries.
 
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli launched this week a campaign to encourage citizens to register on the Health Ministry's website to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
