CAIRO - 13 August 2021: A new shipment of anti-Coronavirus AstraZeneca vaccine is scheduled to arrive at the Cairo International Airport on Friday evening, announced the Ministry of Health and Population announced on Thursday in a statement.
 
The new shipment will be analyzed and then distributed to the vaccination centers nationwide, the statement said.
 
 The AstraZeneca vaccine is injected in two doses, with a 12-week interval, the statement added.
 
Three days ago, a shipment of 525,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrived, Egypt from the Romanian government to Egypt.
 
The shipment comes as part of a tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Health and Population, the Romanian government and the “AstraZeneca” company, in light of the depth and interdependence of the close historical relations between the two countries.
