CAIRO – 28 July 2021: The recovery rate from the coronavirus (COVID-19) at Egyptian isolation hospitals has reached 80.4 percent, after the number of people recovering from the virus increased to 228624 cases, according to the Ministry of Health's statement.

The Ministry of Health and Population said that according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient's recovery from the Corona virus.

The Ministry also announced that more than 10 million people have been registered to receive the Covid-19 vaccine

The statement by the ministry said all those who have registered will be vaccinated “soon,” calling on Egyptians to register. Egypt’s population amounts to 100 million.

Those vaccinated receive a certificate to facilitate their travels and work, the statement said, adding that the vaccination reduces the chances of catching the virus and alleviates symptoms if contracted.

On Wednesday, 284,090 Covid-19 cases have been officially detected, where 228,624 have since tested negative and 16,498 have passed away.
