Egyptian Army holds Mobilization of Commanding Centers Project dubbed 'Taymour 14'

CAIRO – 15 July 2021: Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki, general commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, attended Thursday the main stage of the Mobilization of Commanding Centers Project dubbed "Taymour 14."

Taymour 14 is carried out by the Third Field Army – whose missions is to secure the eastern section of the country - within the annual training plan of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and lasting for several days.

Participants first presented the project's idea and the decision made to tackle it. Afterwards, the minister discussed with a number of commanders and officers participating in Taymour 14 the methods they use to accomplish their missions, the bases on which they make decisions in the face of unanticipated changes, and how they work to be always competent in their respective specializations.

General Zaki pointed out that "Egypt is able to handle all local, regional, and international issues pertinent to the security and stability of the homeland."

 

Similarly, Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid had attended one of the project's stages, which included displaying the missions assumed by each formation, coordination and organization measures, and the line-up of commanding centers.

 

The chief of staff asked the participants to say how they would act when they face certain tactical surprises to ensure their ability to make the right decision during the battle.
