CAIRO – 8 July 2017: Near the Libyan border city of Tobruk, Libyan authorities found the dead bodies of 20 Egyptian illegal migrants. Rot corpses were brought to the Trobruk medical Centre to investigate causes of the immigrants' death.

Head of the department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) Investigative unit confirmed in press statements that more dead bodies are tuning up in the board desert.

Egyptian security forces fused ranks with Libyan side to bring the corpses back to Cairo and hand them over to their families.

Egypt has long been battling illegal immigration; in October 2016, parliament has passed a legislation criminalizing illegal immigration and smuggling.
