CAIRO – 26 May 2021: On the occasion of Africa Day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a visit Tuesday for African ambassadors to the Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdy Loza delivered a speech asserting Egypt's eagerness on reinforcing joint African work, bolstering the bilateral cooperation frameworks with fellow African states, and enhancing the Egyptian role within the African Union (AU).

Deputy Minister of Tourism Ghada Shalaby noted that Egypt is keen on boosting African tourism to Egypt highlighting that African citizens enjoy a 50 percent discount on the tickets of archeological sites and museums.

Cameroonian Ambassador to Cairo Mohamadou Labarang greeted in his speech Egyptian and African officials on Africa Day praising the Egyptian political leadership that prioritizes the continent's interests. The diplomat also commended the successful Egyptian development experience that is considered a model for African states.

2021 Africa Day marks the 58th anniversary of the foundation of the African Unity Organization that was launched on May 25, 1963.
