CAIRO, May 1 (MENA) – The Arab Parliament called for establishing a youth unemployment fund to tackle the issues of youth in the region, especially amid economic impacts ensued from the global outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

This came during a speech delivered by Shaza Saeed, deputy head of the Arab Parliament’s human rights council, within the activities of the 7th world conference of young parliamentarians, virtually held by the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

She highlighted the importance of considering the remarkable impacts of coronavirus outbreak on the health, social, and economic conditions of the youths.

She prodded pushing forward for empowering youths as a pillar for helping in recovery from such pandemic, stressing that the youths represent more than two thirds of the Arab region.
