CAIRO – 4 July 2017: The House of Representatives has given its final approval to the draft law of the national elections authority, which restricts judicial supervision of elections to ten years starting from the date of approving the constitution.

The approval came during a session under speaker Ali Abdel Aal Tuesday.

According to the law, the authority alone will have the right to organize presidential, municipal and parliamentary elections and will be fully neutral.

The authority will also have the right to delegate officials to count votes in elections.
