ALEXANDRIA - 25 March 2021: The Alexandria Port Authority decided on Thursday to re-open Alexandria and Dekheila ports after weather conditions improved.
The two ports were closed on Wednesday due to bad weather conditions prompted by strong winds and high waves, said Ahmed Breqaa, the authority spokesman.
The closure decision was taken to ensure maritime safety, he added.
Sharm el Sheikh Port in South Sinai was reopened on Thursday after the weather improved, Red Sea Ports Authority said.
In a statement, the authority said the navigation traffic and maritime activities were resumed at the port.
