A Ray of Hope Scandals and lies sell news. Underhanded politics and disasters (both natural and man-made) sell news. But there’s only so many scandals, lies and tragedies audiences can handle. I, for one, am one of those jaded — and there are many — viewers who at the end of a long workday have no heart to watch the news and current affairs programs whose only mission, it seems, is to jade us even more.
