Italian Ambassador
Minister of Education and Technical Education Reda Hegazy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Italian Ambassador to Egypt Michele Quaroni, as per which the Italian language will start to be taught as an optional second foreign language for preparatory and secondary stages at all Egyptian public schools.
Head of Egypt’s National Organization for Urban Harmony Mohammed Abu Saada, Italian Ambassador to Egypt Giampaolo Cantini and Director of the Italian Cultural Institute launched the exhibition of creations of Italian architects in Egypt.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of organizing a celebration marking the 40th anniversary of the rescue of the Philae Temple in Aswan and printing a book narrating the rescue operation that took place.
"Egypt is a main player in the region, it plays a very important role especially in countering terrorism," Cantini said.
The Minister of Interior noted that his ministry is taking all the necessary measures to disclose the conditions .
New Italian Ambassador to Egypt Giampaolo Cantini was received by officials in Cairo International Airport on Wednesday.
