Rumors regarding imposing new taxes on official documents and educational certificates have been rapidly circulated on social media cites since Saturday.
Abdel Kader clarified in a statement, Tuesday, that the Egyptian Tax Authority receives tax returns for the year 2020, from January 1 to March 31, 2021, for natural persons electronically.
This comes through the state policy that seeks to restore economic life, reduce the effects and repercussions left by coronavirus, and facilitate the financiers and registrants.
The new law gives taxpayers the opportunity to resolve their tax disputes with the Tax Authority without resorting to courts.
The taxpayers will be exempted from administrative fees during the period of submission for the fiscal year 2019/2020, said ETA head Reda Abdel Kader said in a statement.
The invoice guarantees getting a good product from a known supplier, Hassan said, noting that it is a primary evidence for recipient to claim are subject to return policy.
An agreement between the Tax Authority and Global Telecom was signed in June to settle the tax dispute between the company and the Egyptian Tax Authority.
The authority clarified that the unified tax registration number is dealt with in all tax assessments, and for all types of taxes.
For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian Tax Authority Reda Abdel Kader said that the aim of the digitalization is to facilitate the service for the tax community.
The decision included appointing Reda Abdel Kader Gharib as vice-president of the Tax Authority and Mohammad Shehata as assistant to the head of the Tax Authority.
This amount represents 108 percent of the targeted total of LE 107.44 billion, with an increase of LE 8 billion compared to the prior year.
