Villarreal have hired former Arsenal manager Unai Emery as their new coach after the La Liga club parted ways with fellow Spaniard Javi Calleja.
Villarreal comes 17th at the League table with 29 points, one point ahead of the relegation area.
Cazorla said it was "very special" to be playing top-level football again after making his comeback following an injury-plagued 21 months.
