Egyptian authorities decided Wednesday to jail businessman Salah Diab 15 days pending investigation into charges of financial violations.
The sources said that a statement will be released by the Public Prosecution later on Tuesday.
Egyptian authorities banned businessmen Salah Diab, owner of Al Masry al-youm newspaper, Mahmoud Abdel Ghaffar, former director of Petroleum pipelines company from traveling over land-squatting investigation.
Giza Criminal Court acquitted businessman Salah Diab in the case where he was accused of possessing two automatic rifles and seven bullets without license.
