CAIRO - 2 July 2017:- Spending your summer vacation in the small town of Dahab is one of the most extraordinary experiences you will ever have. The beauty and charm of the place is what makes it the ideal place for relaxation, tranquility and a sense of adventure.

Dahab is located in the “Asian” part of Egypt in the province of South Sinai, located on the Gulf of Aqaba, 100 kilometers away from the magnificent city of Sharm el-Sheikh and 87 kilometers from Nuweiba. Dahab is divided into two sections: the northern part of the town is the commercial district which includes markets, bazaars and shopping areas, while the southern part is called Al-Asala which is characterized by simple Bedouin life.

Accommodation prices in Dahab vary wildly, making it suitable for all categories of travelers. Two to four star hotels from are available in addition to many camps with reasonable prices especially for students.

Transportation to and from Dahab is easy and available. You can fly from Cairo to Sharm el-Sheikh, then drive 100 kilometers straight to Dahab, or if you want to travel by car from Cairo you go through the Suez, on to Ras Sidr, then Tur, past Sharm el-Sheikh and into Dahab. The driving distance from Cairo is roughly 700 kilometers.

Within Dahab there are various minibuses and taxis available for internal transportation.

The climate in Dahab is nice all year round. The average temperature in the city is 29 degrees Celsius and it is wonderful during the winter. The weather is nice and the sun is bright, shining on average 10 hours a day.

Other activities you can enjoy in Dahab are:

Yoga and meditation classes in the refreshing weather, paragliding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, paddle boating, sailing, rowing and surfing.

In addition to rock climbing you can go to Wadi Jannay and enjoy the fun rock climbing and Safaris through the sand dunes.

Dahab has a variety of natural locations and sights too which makes the best tourists attraction.

The nature reserve of “Abu Gallum” in Dahab, also called the
"Valley of Rasasah," has a wonderful view of the mountains and is famous for having a special underwater cave at a depth of 100 meters.

It also has coral reefs, colorful fish, and 165 species of wild birds and plants, of which 44 species are found only in that reserve.

The Blue Hole is a diving spot in the Red Sea with a depth of 130 meters. It has a six meter-wide opening known as the saddle, and a 26 meter long tunnel called the arch. The Blue Hole also has a cave at a depth of 52 meters, and is extremely popular with divers around the world. Be warned however, it is considered a dangerous dive to make even by veteran divers due to the depth and difficulty in locating the hole. Nevertheless it is fun to dive, to embark on a journey that combines challenge, adventure and pleasure at the same time. The Canyon is one of the favorite places for diving professionals. Every diver who aspires to experience and adventure should visit Dahab and enjoy diving.

There is also the Laguna, which is the only sandy beach in town. The Laguna is also a great diving spot and has fewer hotels and dive centers, making it ideal for a more relaxing getaway.

Then there is the Eel Garden area , which is a wonderful and delightful painting of diving lovers, located in the north of the city, and contains countless swarms of colorful fish covering the seafloor amidst clusters of magnificent coral reefs


As for souvenirs to complete your trip, there are many bazaars containing souvenirs, jewelry, silver and hand-made carpets. One of the most popular is the Ghazala market, which has everything you need there.
