CAIRO – 23 June 2017: The value of charter flights to Sharm el-Sheikh was raised to $3,000, and the passenger load was reduced to 60 percent Friday to increase traffic into the Red Sea resort.

The decision of Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed comes after a meeting from investors in Sharm el-Sehikh and South Sinai to encourage more flights into the area.
A total of $10 million has also been allocated the Tourism Authority to launch a campaign to promote Sharm el Sheikh.

The campaign will continue for six months soon after the targeted markets are determined in coordination with Sharm el-Sheikh investors, head of the Tourism Authority Hesham el-Dumeiry said after the meeting.
