CAIRO - 7 June 2017: Sahara Survival School will hold its yearly Ramadan iftar and sohour event for the 4th year on Friday at Wadi Degla protectorate in Maadi.

The event is public, and aims to introduce beginners to safe desert trips and ecosystems and provide an opportunity to meet with experienced desert travelers to discuss survival skills in the desert.

Event goers will meet at the gate of the protectorate at 4:30 p.m., and there will be a short hike in full moonlight a few hours after iftar. Sohour will begin in the hours before fajr prayer, and the event will end at dawn.

Interested people will bring their own food which is recommended to mostly consist of fruit.
