Egypt to participate in WTTC Global Summit 2019 in Madrid

CAIRO, April 1 (MENA) - Tourism Minister Rania el Mashaat left for Madrid, Spain, Monday to take part in the 19th World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit 2019, to kick off there Tuesday.

Mashaat is scheduled to deliver a speech during a "Global Leaders Dialogue" session as part of the event.

Egypt's participation in such international gatherings is part of a Tourism Ministry plan to upgrade the travel sector, Mashaat said.

Prominent figures of the travel industry will take part in the summit, the minister said, adding it will be a good chance to meet with decision makers in the field of tourism.
