CAIRO – 22 February 2019: SiViaggia, the Italian website web magazine published by Italiaonline dedicated to travellers, providing info and suggestions for exploring destinations around the world, said Friday that El Alamein town “is growing fast.”

“Those looking for new ideas and new sea destinations to go next summer, El Alamein , in Egypt, is the right one,” SiViaggia added. “New resorts, tourist villages, hotels and even residences, big or small as they like, are coming out of nowhere on the seafront.”

The magazine described El Alamein’s water to have the color of the Maldives and the fine sand beach is perfect for the summer months.

“Everything is new and everything is perfect,” the article added.

Moreover, SiViaggia said El Alamein is also an ideal destination for families with children.

El Alamein is a town in the northern Matrouh Governorate of Egypt, l ocated on the Mediterranean Sea, it lies 106 kilometres west of Alexandria and 240 kilometres northwest of Cairo.

The town has a number of military cemeteries such as the Italian and German military cemeteries on Tel el-Eisa Hill outside the town, a separate Greek cemetery, and a Commonwealth war cemetery, built and maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

“For those interested and wanting to take a break from sunbathing, you can visit the Military Museum with the relics of war, including uniforms, weapons, letters from the front and, in the yard, tanks, cannons, fighter planes and means of transport,” the website added.
